Sell My Company Business Brokers

Business Sales & Commercial Real Estate

Coordinate the operating business and premises with clearly defined licensed professional roles.

One transition. Clearly defined responsibilities.

Selling the operating business can raise several property choices: sell the building, retain it and lease to the buyer, assign an existing lease or arrange a new location. Each option changes the work needed before closing.

Our business-sale role

For eligible business asset transactions, we focus on preparation, buyer identification and business-sale coordination. We help identify the property questions that need attention without performing regulated property activity ourselves.

The licensed partner’s role

Where required, an appropriately licensed commercial real estate broker handles property marketing, buyer or tenant procurement, lease discussions, assignments and other licensed services. Their credentials, jurisdiction, engagement and responsibilities must be confirmed before the relevant work begins.

How an addendum can help

An attorney can coordinate the business purchase with property agreements, conditions, contingencies and closing dates. An addendum is useful for documenting the relationship between components. It is not permission for an unlicensed person to conduct property brokerage or collect prohibited compensation.

Questions to raise early

Who owns the premises? Is there a lease, and does it require consent? What happens if the business sale is ready but the property arrangement is not? What work does each professional perform? Explore retaining the building or discuss the proposed sale scope.
