Sell My Company Business Brokers

Business Sale Questions and Answers

Clear starting points for owners considering a business sale.

Do I have to be ready to retire?

No. Owners explore sales for many reasons, including a change of priorities, succession needs or a desire to reduce operating responsibilities. Start by identifying your objectives and what role, if any, you want after the sale.

Can you guarantee a price or closing date?

No. Business performance, buyer interest, financing, diligence, consents and transaction terms affect both price and timing. We focus on preparation and a clear process rather than promises about an outcome we cannot control.

Can you help find a buyer without selling my building?

For qualifying business-only transactions, buyer identification and sale preparation may be available. A licensed property partner handles regulated real estate work. The overall facts and state requirements are reviewed before engagement.

What if my business operates in more than one state?

Tell us where the company, assets, owners and prospective buyers are located. Multiple jurisdictions can be relevant, including securities and real estate requirements. A page about one state is not approval to conduct every activity in another.

Should I send tax returns in my first message?

Start with general business information, your location and your goals. Do not send tax returns, customer lists, account credentials or other sensitive records through the initial contact form or ordinary email. An appropriate document-sharing process can be agreed later.

What happens after I contact you?

We discuss the business, proposed sale scope and your objectives. Before marketing or introductions, we confirm service fit, jurisdiction, required licensed professionals and the terms of a written engagement. Contacting us does not create a brokerage or professional-client relationship.
